We obtain our information from the details that are provided through the client registration form. We find this information pertinent to the operation of running our tuition service. We reserve the right to change this privacy statement at any time, so we find it significant that the client check this statement regularly. Information gathering and clients’ personally identifying information

 

The client information that we gather through the client application form is provided at free will upon agreeing to become a client of essentialtuition.co.uk. The client is free to cancel their membership, or amend any personal details at their own discretion. We track and follow these details as and when required for our business operation. We also track progress of our clients (which are often children) performance throughout membership, which includes:

tasks that are set for them to better their understanding

related tasks that are set for staff members to aid our service

attendance record

progress test results

company reports

third party reports

In the event of membership termination, we shall keep information for 60 months thereafter before removing these details fully from our database. We will keep initial results, progress test results, and final exam results where applicable indefinitely for statistical and marketing purposes, which after 60 months post membership termination, will become detached from your personal data.

 

Information Gathering and Staffs' Personally Identifying Information

The staff information that we gather through the staff application form is provided at free will upon agreeing to become a staff member of essentialtuition.co.uk. The staff member is free to amend any personal details at their own discretion. We track and follow these details as and when required for our business operation. We keep data on staff appraisals for performance purposes, banking details for payroll operations, qualification proof, DBS information, and contractual information. In the event of employment termination, we shall keep information for 60 months thereafter before removing these details fully from our database.

Credit card and payment information

Due to certain, justified press coverage of internet credit fraud and personal detail “hacking”, we realise that credit information and banking details are a big security concern for many clients. We have opted to use Worldpay group, which we have integrated into the site. We therefore hold no credit or payment information, and anything that is remotely connected to payments shall be encrypted and held on secure web pages.

Location of personal information

Any personally identifying information that a person submits to the company will be held in databases located in the UK, accessible by password protected systems, or in a location only accessible through locked doors.

Security

We use measures that we see fit to protect personal information from outside parties not primarily connected with the business or the clients’ interests. The clients are responsible for protecting their own account from unwanted access by choosing a unique password and changing this on a regular basis, logging off after each session, and refraining from telling anyone their account password. Clients with physical tuition plans, reports, letters, and other such items, shall ensure that their information printed or otherwise on these items is kept secure. Each client will have an emergency contact telephone printed on their tuition plans. Should an emergency arise, this information will be available for responders to use as appropriate.
